April Fools Posts

This April 1st caught me unawares. I was thinking “What the hell is wrong with everybody?” as I read post after ridiculous post. The Dutch government will revert to tables? The freakin’ Dutch? Next the Ajaxian and some bullcrap about whitespace used as a timer to replace/augment onload? Then I bought this thing about Google printing and mailing you your emails. “Isn’t that amazing? Google is getting their hands into everything. Then I read a little further, and realized I am an idiot:

Gmail Paper is made out of 96% post-consumer organic soybean sputum…

Damnit. I was ready to sign up.

But be careful about Google’s April Fool celebrations… remember GMail and its gig of storage were thought to be a prank.
